From September 2014 - February 2015 Joseph-Maurice Weder will be taking a time-out from the stage, to prepare intensely his following debuts (at the Philharmonie Berlin, Gewandhaus Leipzig, Musikverein Wien, Laeiszhalle Hamburg and the Salle Cortot in Paris) and tours (in South-America & Norway). He is also looking forward to record the two Piano Concertos by Frédéric Chopin with the Camerata Berlin. 

Start into the year 2014

After a highly successful Swiss Ambassador's Award tour through the United Kingdom in October and several concerts in Switzerland in November and December (including at the ETH Lausanne and as a soloist with the Neues Orchester Basel), the recording of the Wigmore Hall debut by Joseph-Maurice Weder has been released end of December.

The upcoming concerts in 2014 are recitals as well as a soloist with various orchestras (a.o. Berliner Camerata) in Switzerland performing Brahms Piano Concerto No. 2, Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No. 1, the Piano Concertos by Mozart K. 271, K. 414 and K. 488, at

Review and preview


After a succesful debut end of August at the St. Prex Classics Festival, the famous cellist Gautier Capucon mentioned Joseph-Maurice Weder in an interview: "...a wonderful musician with an enormous technical capacity".
Joseph-Maurice's solo recital at the Schwarzwald Festival was honoured by standing ovations and the Badische Zeitung claimed it "a superb concert".
The journey will continue in October with a tour through the United Kingdom, with a special highlight: a concert at the prestigious Wigmore Hall.
